Welcome to our Craft Site
   MnM Modellers

This includes Radio Controlled Boats we have made

Welcome to our site

We are often asked 'where is Marmic Manor '

Its where we live and the name is derived from our two names

MARion & MICk

We are involved in many types of Crafts but the main ones are

 Woodturning and Machine Embroidery

We are starting to get into Quilting but this is in its early stages

We are both young OAP's and we live in a picturesque village in Essex.
This site covers hobbies and crafts that we are involved in albeit we are only amateurs.

I am especially proud of the

Segmented Vase shown below

( it was based on a design by Michael Foster )

        It was chosen for the

     A.W.G.B Travelling Exhibition  2017 / 2018

and was taken to various shows

around the UK

This Vase has now been SOLD

We have now ventured into Embroidery.

   Embroidered Pictures & Cards etc

can be seen on the relevant pages

Illuminated Pumpkin

         Illuminated Pumpkin

      10 inches square (25cm)

            44,000 stitches

Following my shoulder operation in December 2017
I was told 6 - 12 months taking things steady so no Woodturning.    I started Machine Embroidery and really enjoy it so I now have Framed Embroidery on my Craft Stall

When I was at school I was not allowed to do sport of any kind due to health problems, so I opted for extra woodwork, and have worked in the wood trade ever since.

Having been presented with a small lathe as a retirement present, I thought I'd try turning some pens. The results aren't too bad. Have a look and let us know what you think.

I have had a new shed erected solely for the purpose of woodturning, and have acquired a second lathe, so I have now progressed  on to other turning besides pens. I'd like to get more into Segmented Turning as they give you the WOW factor !!!
